Janta College Bakewar, Etawah is a aided college of Uttar Pradesh government and affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj Vishwavidyalaya, Kanpur. It was established in 1959 by the Late Shri Devendra Mani Dwivedi Ji, a respected and dedicated social worker of the area, with the aim of providing agriculture based scientific research and quality higher education to the students of resource-less, poor and agricultural background families of the Etawah district and It was executed with the cooperation of respected and distinguished people of Bakewar region.The most respectable and conscientious and know as Malaviy of the region Late Shri Anand Swaroop Mishra Ji founder Secretary of the College Management Committee pay an unforgettable contribution due to which the college got a special identity in the country and know as the pinnacle of education sector.
Alumni Association Janta College Bakewar was formed in the year 1986 with the inspiration of the Principal at that time Late Shri Shiv Sewak Tiwari ji with the cooperation of the alumni Professor Jagdish Narayan Pandey, Professor Mahesh Chandra Bajpai, Professor Baleshwar Prasad Verma and other working professors in College and prestigious Alumni.
After its formation, Alumni Association Janta College Bakewar has achieved many dimensions by adding eminent alumni to encourage the activities of the association and ensure their contribution in the development of the college, which is led by The hardworking and dedicated principal working at that time Dr. Sahab Lal Shukla, Dr.Sita Ram Tripathi, Dr.Har Sahay Pathak, Dr. Praveen Kumar Shukla and other Professor and former students working in the college and residents of the area.
In the year 2017, Alumni Association namely as Purva Chhatra Samiti Janta College Bakewar registration was done under society registration act 1860 with deputy registrar of Company,Society and Chit fund office of Uttar Pradesh government in Kanpur with registration no. With the help of the then Principal Dr. Mahesh Prasad Yadav, President Satya Prakash Upadhyay, Secretary Kuldeep Awasthi with all the devoted alumni working with association with the aim to develop a robust network of alumni from various fields in County and abroad.
